Podia vs Teachable for Online Course Creators

Podia and Teachable are both excellent options for first-time and experienced online course creators. Now let’s talka about Podia vs Teachable. The biggest difference between these two Course platforms is that Podia is an all-in-one solution, whereas Teachable isn’t. Let’s take a look at what you can expect when you sign up for a plan with either of these platforms, so you can figure out which is the best solution for your online courses.

Which is the best option for hosting your course?

Teachable is one of the more established online course creation platforms, whereas Podia is a newer entry into the market. We found the course builder to be more flexible on Teachable, and it also supports cloud import. You can also add various learning tools to your courses, including graded quizzes, course compliance, and certificates. On the other hand, Podia has a cleaner design when it comes to the course player, offering users the opportunity to view your course full-screen. It also has the option to create individual Posts for your membership and a live chat feature for your customers to use as well.

Which is the better choice for sales, funnels, and landing pages?

Podia and Teachable are pretty similar when it comes to their sales and marketing features. They both offer all of the basic features you would expect from similar platforms, allowing you to run affiliate programs, do email marketing, and create coupons. From this point of view, we found both options to be reasonably similar. The checkout process is well optimized on both platforms, making it easy to convert customers at this stage in the process.

Pricing

When it comes to pricing, Podia offers a basic plan called the Mover Plan, which starts at $39 per month. To access all of their features, including membership and affiliate marketing, you’ll need to upgrade to the Shaker Plan, which is $79 per month. The pricing works a little differently with Teachable, and they offer a lifetime free plan with limited features. The Basic Plan is $39 per month, but you’ll also pay a 5% transaction fee. The Professional Plan, which is the most popular option on Teachable, is $119 per month but doesn’t have a transaction fee. This offers you access to all of the great features on offer but is a little costlier than Podia’s plans.

Customer Support

Podia are well known for their friendly customer support, and they generally are very easy to get hold of when you have an issue. Chat support is available on any of their plans, and you’ll usually get a response within 5-10 minutes during regular working hours. With Teachable, you’ll find that you can only use live chat with the Professional Plan. The Free and Basic plans are offered email support, but obviously, this isn’t as responsive as you may need or expect.

Teachable and Podia are both good value for money options for course creators. They are slightly different in their setup, so we recommend that you check out their individual features to ensure you choose the right solution for hosting and selling your courses.
